Confessions of Nothing

{March 9, 2007}   Ignorance is NOT Bliss

I don’t dislike you because of your style. I don’t dislike you because of your race. I just loath your ignorance!

I think that it’s dumb that certain social groups think that it’s cool to be ignorant and act ignorant. people talk like they’ve never been in an English class in their lives! They wear clothes that don’t fit them. They do drugs, and throw away their opportunity to make something of themselves.

Some people are mad at the government/ society, and think that to get back at them they “revolt”. But, what they don’t get is that we don’t give a damn! You’re just hurting yourself, and will wind up dead, in a prison, or on the street eventually. Not our problem. But, just think about how many ancestors of all of ours to create equality in education and in out society. The Truth is people now don’t categorize people based on their race, but on their education.

If you want to make a difference or get back at society, get an education and go into politics! Prove them wrong!

When people are ignorant or act ignorant they are just looked down upon; which is the opposite of what we all fought for in equality. But, the this is YOU now get the chance to change that. Just people are to ignorant to even try.

Intentional Ignorance leads to RUIN!

{March 9, 2007}   Left behind?

The “No child left behind” law passed in Illinois is to insure that every child receives the same level of education as every other child. It gives Handicapped children the right to be in a normal classroom. Is also insures that every child will remain in the classroom environment, though they are disruptive.

This law has created more problems in the classroom and learning environment then to help it. Handicapped children often are very distracting and disruptive in the classroom. They need extra help and assistance in the class and need to have an assistant help them. They sometimes need extra explanation on a subject that everyone else understands. Then the teacher needs to take time from the rest of the class in order to help them. All of these things are taking from the learning environment in the class room. Also some Handicapped children tend to have emotional and/or social problems. And, being in a normal classroom can sometimes make the child feel incompetent because they may be struggling in the class while all the other students are doing fine. why set these children, who already have a hard life, up for failure and pain?

Another flaw in the “No Child left Behind” law is its tolerance to all children in the school systems. Public schools aren’t allowed to kick students out of school unless they are thought of as a threat to the students and staff. meaning the school has to tolerate many students who don’t even care to be there. Again, their behavioral problems take away from the people who actually want to take advantage of the education given to them. The school has to concentrate on punishing students who are constantly causing trouble; taking away their time to concentrate on bettering the education in the school. These kids don’t want to be at school and are causing all of us to suffer. They get away with so much, and waste all out time.
